Weirdest Richard Armitage dream EVER

Image
Richard, Richard, Richard ... Every time you enter my dreamscape, you leave confusion in your wake. Okay, last time it wasn't very confusing, just surprising. This , however, takes the proverbial biscuit. I'm not quite sure how it started, but I can definitely tell that watching Sherlock and planning for this year's FanstRAvaganza (stay tuned!) just before bed-time definitely took their toll ... To start off with, Martin Freeman and Richard Armitage, in a hallway or something like that. I think Richard Armitage was inside the apartment (as was I and a group of other female fans) and Martin Freeman was out in the stairwell. They both expressed surprise at seeing one another here, in England, because both had been texting earlier in the day, when both had been in New York City or something like that. Just a quick "oh hello, fancy seeing you here, I thought you were abroad!" followed by "I thought the same about you!" and there's me thinking gosh, I

Secret Santa ftw!

Secret Santa is awesome sometimes. Here's what I got in this year's Secret Santa over att Rollspelet Svenska Hogwarts : I have a sneaking suspicion as to who the Secret Santa is, but even if it's not her, I still love it. Thank you, Secret Santa! You rock! :D Also: I'll be closing the comment sections for the giveaways some time tomorrow. Not sure when, as will be AFK in the afternoon, and not sure how long for. Possibly I'll close it in the evening or morning, depending on time. Still time to enter if you like, though, but you have less than 24 hours. :)

First trailer for The Hobbit released

Just in time for Christmas. Thanks, Peter Jackson! Spontaneous comments: OMG, Richard Armitage sings!!!! Other than that? It looks great. Can't wait for it to come out. :D Oh, should the above video stop working, it'll still be available on the official website for The Hobbit .

Amazing Gaze: Top 5 Brilliantly Breathtaking Blue Eyes

Image
My other favourite pair of blue eyes :) (I know, it should be "pairs of eyes", but that doesn't sound as catchy as a title.) There are some people whose gaze catches you and makes you stop and think "oh my word" and then you wonder how on earth it's even possible to have that particular shade. Tonight's installment will be blue eyes. Beautifully blue, brilliantly breathtaking blue. There are of course many a good-looking actor out there with blue eyes, but I'm interested in the ones where you look at them and can't help but notice their eye colour specifically . So without further ado, here's my top 5:

Have you heard of Richard III?

Image
Or rather, have you heard of the campaign launched by some fans of Richard Armitage, to have his project about King Richard III come to fruition? If not, you really ought to check it out. :) There's a petition to sign and everything! Back in August, there was a "King Richard Week", which I forgot to mention at the time, as my parents were visiting so didn't have much time for computers. Thought it would be good to have a reminder about the project now, and perhaps find some more supporters. :) Richard Armitage has been talking about wanting to do a project about Richard III for some time now. He wants to do something historically accurate, because William Shakespeare ... well, he was paid by a Tudor, and seeing as how they defeated the Plantagenets (or something like that), trying to downplay the defeated king meant getting a paycheck. Here's the king himself to tell us what was going on, thanks to Horrible Histories :

Song! Video! Unlucky Guy of Gisborne!

Image
ZHE FIRST OF MANY!! (Possibly. Maybe. Hopefully?) If I can find inspiration, instrumental songs and time, that is. :) This one's about Guy of Gisborne from BBC's Robin Hood - Richard Armitage - and how he's unlucky in love. Based on "Lucky Guy" by Modern Talking. Or, actually, this is the instrumental to the "Ryan Simmons" version, but let's not split hairs. In retrospect, should've stuck with what I did originally, and have it as "you are no lucky guy", because "you are unlucky, Guy" sounds a heck of a lot like "you are a lucky guy". Ho hum, never mind. And for the next attempt at something like this, I'll prepare more beforehand ... and hopefully come up with better lyrics. ;) Not used to making fanvids, so it's as it is. Hope you enjoy it, anyway. Happy weekend everyone!

Happy Armitage Day!

Image
Today is Richard Armitage's 40th birthday! Congratulations, Richard, wherever you are! :) I'm currently busy with my parents over from Sweden, so have a few posts lined up beforehand for this week. (This is one of them.) Richard Armitage wallpaper by BccMee (she does some beautiful ones, you should go check out her blog!) To celebrate the man's birthday, I share with you the message I wrote for Calexora 's birthday book. See if you can crack the cypher and spot the hidden message! :)

Justin Bieber has NOT made me a Belieber

Image
There are fans of someone, and then there are the so-called "Beliebers" (*gag*), who are so obnoxious on there that Twitter seems to have banned "Justin Bieber" from trending. Ways around it? Certainly. Weapon of choice at the moment is "Derek Bieber". Guessing Derek is the poor lad's middle name or something, but to be honest, I don't care. Aww, he wuvs his fans! ...I think I need to puke.

So here's to you, Mrs. Armitage

Image
Before I completely forget, I have to quick recall what little I remember of a dream I had last night: Richard Armitage had got married. ♫ "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!" ♫ His new missus was an author and scriptwriter, but not well-known at all. Not heard of full stop, I should say. They had met on set of ... Captain America or something?

Richard Armitage, we have a problem

Image
Dear Richard, You have delighted us much recently by posing for pictures with a beard and then there were those Captain America shots as well and the film opens tomorrow in the US (next Friday in the UK) and you attended the red carpet premiere in Hollywood and everything. Great to see you looking so well and sounding so well too. I particularly like this one. (Screencap by RichardArmitageNet.com ) However. We need to have a talk about that new beard of yours.

Behind the scenes of Captain America

Have a look at 01:11 if you can't wait to see Heinz Kruger on the silver screen! :D Now I just need to plug in a pair of headphones to actually hear that wonderful voice. He talks for a good 15 seconds. :) EDIT, now that I've heard the audio as well as seen the video: Here's a transcript of what Richard Armitage says in the clip: I mean it-it's one of those gifts when you work on a film, umm, when you work with an art department as brilliant as these guys are ... it-it's sort of 60% of the ... of the work in kind of stimulating your imagination. Not overly coherent, but there you go. Great to see him interviewed for a behind the scenes clip! :D

My Richard Armitage fanblogging dilemma

Image
Soon, my preciousssss! [Source: Fabolaktuko's blog ] Have I been too quiet about Richard Armitage these past couple of months or so? I think I have. Of the things that drive traffic to this blog, Richard Armitage is one of the biggest, and here I am, writing virtually nothing about him. It's just not right, is it? There's a reason for it, though. Actually, there are a few, probably, such as the boring "there are only so many hours in the day and I have to prioritise writing reviews as this is kind of meant to be a review blog" and it was probably a couple of months ago or so that I decided I was going to try writing a review a day, Monday to Friday, which meant less flexibility with other posts. Sort of. (I've told myself I'm at liberty to write whatever I like outside of one review a day, so it's not as if I suddenly have to stop writing posts that aren't reviews.) No, I've found the biggest reason for not posting about Richard Armitag

Guilty Pleasures: Britney Spears

What's your guilty pleasure? Here's one of mine ... and I feel more than a little embarrassed to admit it, but that's why they call it "guilty pleasures" after all. Britney Spears. There, I said it. It started the very first time I saw Baby ... One More Time on TV, which was when it first came out, so help me gods. But then again, when the talented Heathra makes videos like this, it feels just a tad bit acceptable anyway, don't you think? ;)

So much news all of a sudden

Image
Entertainment Weekly have released three pictures from The Hobbit . The one I’m most excited about is this one, because it has dwarves on it: The dark-bearded fellow in the middle of the picture is bound to be Thorin (Richard Armitage). :D Also: Dame Edna has been cast in the film. Or, rather, her actor Barry Humphries has. One of the blokes from Jackass has died in a car crash, says BBC News . Ryan Dunn, for reference. I have no idea who he is, I’ve just heard of the show … and it doesn’t make me inclined to watch it. David Suchet has got a CBE and the Beeb are going to dramatise the big rows around Monty Python’s Life of Brian . Should be interesting. I’m intrigued to learn that Andrew Lloyd Webber’s latest musical, Love Never Dies (the one that isn’t a Phantom of the Opera sequel, except it is), is due to close in August . The part that intrigues me most was this:

If Armitage and Wood had a love child ...

Image
Been far too long since I last did one of these , and I'd like to thank Leffe for the idea. It had me laughing out loud! If Richard Armitage and Elijah Wood had a love child, this is what he'd look like: Ladies and gen ... uh, ladies , Daniel Radcliffe ! :D When I saw clips from Between the Sheets the first time, my response was "OMG, he looks like Daniel Radcliffe! That's just ... weird. I don't really fancy Dan Radcliffe that much and Richard Armitage, number one hottie, looks like his older brother! I'm confused." Wishing you a good weekend!

Rise up for Christchurch, fandoms!

Image
Recently, I wrote about the Tobathon arranged for charity by the Toby Stephens fandom . In the same post, I also mentioned the generosity of the Richard Armitage fandom. Time for an update on that one, because the Armitage admirers have found another way of backing charitable purposes and it must not go unreported! At 9pm/21:00 GMT (for easy reference, for UK add +1, for western Europe +2), there will be a telathon in New Zealand in support of rebuilding Christchurch in the aftermath of the earthquake there earlier this year. Even before the event has started, the Richard Armitage fandom has already raised about NZ$1000. Well done! To begin with, Servetus said she would donate money for everyone commenting on a particular post on her blog , up to a certain amount. RAFrenzy countered with matching her amount , and judiang and others have offered to do the same ! How kind of them! Very admirable ladies, all of them. :)

The good news and the bad news

Image
The good news is that Blogger has finally come back. Hooray! On Wednesday, there was supposed to be a one-hour downtime due to some maintenance work, but something went awry and the system was really buggy. I could post things as normal yesterday, and the only thing I struggled with was trying to get the system to save the edits I had made to the New Moon review. And for some reason, it wouldn't save it, it just eventually said "you're about to leave this page, are you sure you want to do that?" which then lead to "page not responding". In the evening, when the Squeeze was clicking on a link on Facebook to see a blog post, it wasn't there. And on closer inspection this morning, as it turns out, Blogger had switched off the Blogger Dashboard access and reverted to a backup done before their maintenance work, which meant every post and every comment made until that time were temporarily gone. At the moment, the posts I was missing have returned, and the

Richard Armitage and you - your number's up!

Image
Fabolaktuko at White Rose posted something funny earlier today: her results on a numerological compatibility test with Richard Armitage. I'm a sucker for silly compatibility tests, so I immediately had to go and do the test to see how I would fare. Before I get to the result, it was the same regardless of if I used Traxy Thornfield or my legal name, so I guess it goes by your birthdate for comparison, rather than names. You can never be too sure with numerology, as there are different ways to calculate it. Anyway. The result had me giggling excitedly:

Why Toby Stephens should be proud of his fans

Image
One of the things that quite amaze me is how fandoms pull together not just for themselves and the object of their appreciation, but for other people. For instance, the Richard Armitage fandom has (at time of writing) raised an impressive £11,234.07 in a year to the four charities officially supported by him on JustGiving . That’s a lot of money. Toby Stephens. You might know him as Mr. Rochester with the gravity-defying hair. Swoon! More recently, I joined a Toby Stephens fan forum and in April, we all got an email notification about his birthday. In celebration of it, the fanforum have an annual event called a Tobathon in his honour. First, I thought this was some sort of massive Toby Stephens movie marathon, but no. It’s way more impressive than that. Here’s what (part of) the email said: 'Oldies' will also know that every year at this time we have what has become known as the Tobathon : a virtual fun run/walk/hobble where we all get out in the sunshine and compl

Another Richard Armitage dream

Image
It happened again! Doesn't quite match last time it happened - because meeting him in the street was pretty darn sweet - but on the other hand ... sharing a bed ain't bad either. Okay, let's take it from the top, the little I can remember. (Photo from Nat's RA Fanblog ) He was cooking in his house. Frying onions and chorizo ... and pointing out that the reason he hadn't sliced the chorizo, but in fact just halved it and had it in big chunks was because his mother preferred it that way. She was hungry and wanted something more substantial, and having tiny little slices weren't good enough.
