Spooks 9 - all set for Monday!

A work colleague was speaking to someone called Lucas, and when he had hung up, I said "I would've been SOOO impressed if that Lucas was Lucas North from MI5!" He looked at me and replied, "Why? Who's that?" - he obviously doesn't watch Spooks, but as he said he used to once upon a time, I let him know that it starts again on Monday, 20 September 2010, at 21:00 / 9pm. Series nine! Already! Woohoo!

Reeling after the explosion at the hotel, Section D are left considering the sacrifices they make as spies. But they are soon back in action, tracking Somalian AQ terrorist Abib on a boat from Tangier.

When it becomes clear that the boat is carrying a lethal load, the team fear it is headed to Plymouth for the launch of the newest addition to the royal navy's fleet. But is the real target elsewhere, and is it too late to find the UK source of the plan?

Lucas's own faith is challenged when he is visited by an unwelcome ghost from his past.

    Boo hoo! I'm going to have to wait until someone posts it online before I can watch it! I haven't even seen Series 8 on DVD yet! (but I did watch it online).

    At least you watched it online, so you've seen it. :) A friend of mine in Sweden has been watching it online too, so she has to get a move on to finish s8 now that s9 is about to begin!

Richard Armitage will never be himself on TV

One of the interesting comments Richard Armitage was when an interviewer asked him, because he's a great dancer, is if we'd ever see him on something like Strictly Come Dancing . His response was that we'd never get to see Richard Armitage as Richard Armitage on TV. Basically, he's not the kind of celebrity to show up as soon as someone waves an invite to a reality TV show. Richard Armitage as himself. On telly. But not in a reality show. Things that make me love and respect the man: +1! Before I read that interview, I was thinking about him on Strictly , and then started to think of a host of other reality TV shows and whether or not he would be a suitable candidate. This is what I came up with ... Top Gear What it is: This is a car show, or ... a comedy show with cars in, depending on how you look at it. Rupert Penry-Jones and Peter Firth came on it to promote series 7 (?) of Spooks , so why not Richard Armitage? He does drive a car, after all ... Why
