Xmas Giveaway, Day 5: Item 9

Item 9 in the Christmas Giveaway is a 2-disc Region 2 DVD set of Jane Eyre (2006), courtesy of the Daily Mail, which as a newspaper isn't worth the paper it's printed on, but comes in handy here. I already have the DVD of this production, so don't need it. Got it when I bought a selection of these newspaper giveaway DVDs on eBay and have been hoarding them ever since. :)

Please note that these two discs are DVD Region 2 (Europe) and will not play on Region 1 (NTSC, American) DVD players unless the DVD player in question is region free.

Two discs in cardboard covers, containing the four episodes of the glorious 2006 adaptation of Jane Eyre, starring Ruth Wilson as Jane and Toby Stephens as Rochester. If the cover didn't give that one away already. ;) I reviewed it pretty favourably in September 2011. I'm not sure if it contains any extras, but I can double-check.

Giveaway closes at some point during 27 December 2011. Winner will be chosen at random and contacted and with a bit of luck, has responded with some form of contact details so I can send it when the post office opens again on the 28th.

Remember, I need to be able to contact you and get your postal address if you win, so if you're not on Facebook, Etsy, Twitter or any other way of getting in touch, it will be hard to let you know you've won, and so on, so in order to be in with a chance of winning, add some kind of contact details and answer the following qualifying questions: 1: Which is your favourite Jane Eyre adaptation and why? 2: If you're outside Europe (DVD Region 2), can your DVD player actually play Region 2 (PAL) DVDs?

This giveaway is open worldwide, but if you're outside Europe, please ensure your DVD is multi-regional or region free and can definitely play Region 2/PAL DVDs before you enter the giveaway.

Good luck! Check back in a few hours for today's book giveaway. :)

  1. I love this adaptation! Actually it's my favourite, but I still haven't seen the one with Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska. I've heard rather different opinions. :)

Oh and I live in Europe, so yay! :)

    Happy Holidays!

  4. I never really understood what people see in Tim Dalton, and then I saw him as Rochester. Problem is, now when I see him in anything else, I just think "ohh, Mr. Rochester! *happysigh*" ;)

  5. Thank you, and happy holidays to you too! :) I have to admit that I had different opinions watching the new one, so I saw it twice. Still wasn't sure about it. But it does make me wonder when it's out on DVD here. *checks* Oh there we go, 12 March 2012.
