To tell the truth I'm not a fan of movies such as CA. Nevertheless, I am glad that RA play in the film. Although play a negative character. Maybe the young audience didn't appreciate his talent (and it is quite natural, and can't blame them for it ;) ) but I'm sure that RA will be noticed by connoisseurs of cinema. And I believe that this is only the beginning. I wish him that with all my heart.
@Ruth: Think I'm just semi-excited. It's just another superhero comic book movie and the only comic books I've ever really been into were really Astérix, Tintin and Lucky Luke, which is a completely different genre. Hanging out in a comic store with a bunch of roleplayers, I've also learned that they rarely think comic books make good films, because they're not very true to the original. On the other hand, it's a film with RA in, and that's really the whole reason for the excitement. RA on film! :D
@Ania: I totally agree. :) It'll be fun to see him on a huge silver screen. Can we suppress big excited grins when he shows up?
@Phylly: What a brilliant tagline! Sounds a bit like a film in itself, that. Or maybe it's a sequel? Imagine this, in a dramatic and gravelly male voice with explosions for emphasis: "Last year, The Armtitage Army declared war. Now they're back, and they are bigger than ever before. The Armitage Army: The Force of Many. The War. Has. Come. - In cinemas May 31st." ;)
Thanks for stopping by! All comments are read (usually within 24 hours) and responded to whenever I can, but not necessarily straight away. Spam comments stop in the moderation queue. Be as snarky as you like, but I give as good as I get, and you probably need a hug. Cheerio! :)
by Charlotte Brontë; script adaptation by Amy Corzine, artwork by John M Burns, lettering by Terry Wiley (Classical Comics, 2010 [1847]) "I scorn your idea of love and the counterfeit sentiment you offer. And I scorn you when you offer it." This Charlotte Brontë classic is brought to vibrant life by artist John M. Burns. His sympathetic treatment of Jane Eyre's life during the 19th century will delight any reader with its strong emotions and wonderfully rich atmosphere. Travel back to a time of grand Victorian mansions contrasted with the severest poverty and immerse yourself in this love story. It is presented in full colour graphic novel format wonderfully illustrated by legendary artist John M. Burns. It meets UK curriculum requirements. Teachers notes/study guides for KS2/KS3 available. There's not a lot to say about the graphic novel version of Jane Eyre more than "it's the most faithful adaptation I've come across". It even got th...
I thought there should be a list like this. Maybe there already is, I've just not seen it yet. It's not a massive list by the time of posting this (25 points), but I'm hoping you'll help me come up with more so that one day it will be. :) Last updated: 14 June 2012, the list so far: You know you're a Richard Armitage fan when ...
Episode 1 Here it is, the first edition of Ask Thorin , 3" Thorin's very own advice column. Without further ado, here's the man himself, answering your questions: Dear Thorin, I would like to ask Thorin if I can shampoo and condition his hair. /Collar City Brownstone
I am SO FREAKING EXCITED about this movie.
