Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ...

Another day full of snowing, so I thought I'd share what it looks like outside the house at the moment! There's about 4-6 inches or 10-15 cm or so here, and temperatures are set to drop.

Nice afro there, bird table!

I also put together a little video for illustrative purposes! :)

What's the weather like at the moment where you are?

  1. bah, humbug.
we got some 5 inch over night, and it's still coming down.. and I'd find it all very idyllic and nice if I didn't have to leave the house. chaos in traffic & public transportation, slippery ground and no time for snowball fights.
don't mind the snow in general but the timing sux. Saturday would have been purrfect.
Then again, it IS winter after all... :)
love the afro pic :).. just had an idea for a cute 'PS painting'

  2. Totally jealous--here in Colorado, we are parched. No appreciable snow yet, except in the high mountains, and none in the forecast.

Enjoy your snow...wish we had some!

  3. In Uppsala we have rather mild weather at the moment. Just -8 degrees C (we had about -20 yeasterday). I guess a couple of decimetres of snow and the roads work well. Thankfully there is no salt on them this year, so going by bike is about as easy as in the summer. Maybe easier; there are fewer of us idiots on the biking-roads.

  4. We've had school buses cancelled at least once a week for the past three weeks. It doesn't want to quit snowing here! But it is beautiful and not too cold once the shovelling is done.

  5. @TTN: I'm sure the "PS painting" will be gorgeous. (Hm, RA in an afro ... now there's a ... very weird thought!) The snow has caused a lot of issues in Britain too, but I stayed at home and worked from there Wed/Thu so didn't have to go out and become a statistic. Hubby drove me in today, as the main roads are okay, but I've only had my licence a bit over a year so I'm not very confident driving in these conditions. Keep warm and hopefully you can get to enjoy the snow over the weekend!

@JaneGS: Is it cold and frosty in Colorado so there could be snow but just isn't, or is it too warm? I really don't know what the Colorado climate is like. Hopefully you'll get some snow eventually! :)

@V064: Heh, -20 over here is headline news. So no salt? Do they just use grit then or how do they make the roads not slippy? I never used my bike in the snow in Sweden. But then I didn't have very far to school, and when I did, it was too far to ride a bike anyway! :)

@phylly3: We actually don't have a snow shovel, I realised yesterday. Perhaps we should get one, just to clear the drive a bit. Sure, there's not loads and loads of snow on there, but it will make it quicker to melt and less slippy once it starts melting. I like snow, it's very pretty, and I can imagine it looks really astonishingly beautiful where you are! :)
