There's a new look in town!

So, I've been thinking about giving the blog a facelift for a while now, and only over the weekend, I realised which colour I fancied switching to. And then things kind of came together a bit. This is the result. If you're using a feed reader (such as, but not limited to, Google Reader, which is a tremendously good idea for keeping up to speed with all the blogs you follow, just a tip), you'll have to actually - gasp - click through to the post to see. But anyway. Whatcha reckon? Yay or a nay? :)

  2. Love it! My only critique is that the headers in the sidebar (get in touch, previously on the squeee) are so dark against the black that they're barely visible. Then again, it might just be my work computer, which sucks lol I'm in the process of redoing mine as well... need to get on that :)

  3. Thanks gals! I'm still playing around a bit with the sidebar(s), trying to figure out how I want them and where and everything.

VAB87, I think that's just your computer, because they're a dark colour ... but they're not on black - they're on the same colour as the rest of the sidebar, i.e. a very light purple (or technically, a white with a slight opacity to let the background shine through). o.O

  6. Love everything except the fact that the main text box thing isn't in the middle anymore. I miss the balance. But the colours are lovely, the header is amazing and the overall look is very neat and professional and yet, you know, FUN :)

  7. Cheers, me dears! Glad you're liking it. :)

Elin: Yeah, there is that. Difficult trying to balance it, but I like how things are grouped ... I think. This is more similar to the way it was when the blog started out. I liked having the archive on the left, but wanted some more space for the search box and email subscription. Aww, I'll see how we get along for a bit and if I like it or not. Right now, I'm thinking that the grouping looks a bit messy, but I really don't like when blogs require loads of scrolling just because the sidebars are too long. Anyway, thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. :) I wanted something that was nice to look at while at the same time, perhaps looking a bit more professional.
