Vexed to be shown in Belgium and NZ

Congratulations to Belgium and New Zealand!

Came across this - yay for Google Alerts! :)

DRG have confirmed that leading broadcasters TVNZ in New Zealand and VRT in Belgium have both acquired DRG's new primetime drama.

Although my alert is for Jane Eyre, it came up because the article mentioned the previous productions of Mr. Stephens.

  1. Thanks for the post! I'll be forwarding this to my sister who is equally a fan of Jane Eyre and therefore Toby Stephens. Timothy Dalton also factor's in her Mr.Rochester equation. She's the one to blame for my turn into RAland sometime this time last year. For posterity's sake I'll pick RA's birthday when I watched N&S for the first time!

  2. Funny how there seems to be a lot of us who only really "discovered" Toby Stephens through Jane Eyre! Not like most of us hadn't seen him in anything before that point! (On a post-JE epiphany re-watch of Severance, I have to admit I enjoyed TS's character a lot more than I did when I first saw it in the cinema. All of a sudden, the character seemed to ooze appeal. For some mysterious reason! ;))

Timothy Dalton was a good Rochester as well. And RA - him as Mr. Rochester ... ... ... "squeeeee" just doesn't cut it!

  3. I know RA would be a total THUD factor as Mr.Rochester!
I think I saw TS in the Tenant of Wildfell Hall for the first time, liked him for sure. Saw him in Sharpe's Challenge of course. But those were the days before i became a fangirl...

  4. Ah, I only saw Sharpe's Challenge after becoming a TS fangirl, so I was pre-disposed to swooning! ;)
