Umm. I took piano lessons for a year when I was ten... that's not "beautifully", that's "yes, you do play only a little". Captivating singing voice? I do okay on Singstar, but I wouldn't call that "captivating" by any stretch of the imagination! I also have an intense dislike of poetry. I once bought the collected poems of DH Lawrence in a fit of "I like his writing and he's a LOCAL!" (five years in Nottingham and I've still never been to the DH Lawrence Heritage site in Eastwood, 20 mins from where we live now *cough*) only to remember, when I finally opened it to read, that I find 98% of all poetry insanely dull to read. Not that I think all poets are bad or anything, I'm sure a lot of them are fantastic, I just can't stand the medium for some reason. Vogon poetry being the big exception. The rest of the description I pretty much agree with. They should've thrown in a description about fancying older men as well, and hey presto... ;) (Or maybe Brandon isn't that much older in the book? I can't remember.) Naww, now I feel like watching Sense & Sensibility again. 'Twas such a long time ago.

    I took the quiz some months ago and ... you can also see it on my blog ... I am Anne Elliot. Maybe it is a question of age too. I can't be Marianne, though I've always preferred her free spirit to Elinore's sense.

    Ha!Ha! I did this quiz from Maria Grazia's blog awhile ago and it turns out that I am Elinore!
    Isn't that neat that we are all different?
    I think that it shows that it is a fairly good test, as some other similar type of quizes turn out where almost everyone is the same thing!

    And by the way, I think I would still be Elinore, even at a young age! I may not ACT so proper but I do think things out quite a bit before I act, so I have never really been too impulsive.

    It's great that we're all different, I agree! :) Perhaps also a good measure of how "real" Austen's characters both were and still are! Which is really amazing, considering they're about 200 years old now.

    I think the "brutally honest" bit came into play today. I was being interviewed for a job at a callcentre and truthfully answered why I left my job at a tech support callcentre a few years ago... It made me giggle afterwards, though, because the lady at the agency said to not mention the fact that I'd rather work with web development than customer service to the interviewers... but they never said anything about keeping a lid on why I quit from the callcentre (nor did they bother asking)... So yeah, brutal honesty ftw!

Richard Armitage will never be himself on TV

One of the interesting comments Richard Armitage was when an interviewer asked him, because he's a great dancer, is if we'd ever see him on something like Strictly Come Dancing . His response was that we'd never get to see Richard Armitage as Richard Armitage on TV. Basically, he's not the kind of celebrity to show up as soon as someone waves an invite to a reality TV show. Richard Armitage as himself. On telly. But not in a reality show. Things that make me love and respect the man: +1! Before I read that interview, I was thinking about him on Strictly , and then started to think of a host of other reality TV shows and whether or not he would be a suitable candidate. This is what I came up with ... Top Gear What it is: This is a car show, or ... a comedy show with cars in, depending on how you look at it. Rupert Penry-Jones and Peter Firth came on it to promote series 7 (?) of Spooks , so why not Richard Armitage? He does drive a car, after all ... Why
